CAN-SPAM Compliance
Last updated: August 12, 2026
The US CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.) sets rules for commercial email. Bolsivo is built so the outreach it helps you send is designed to operate in line with those rules — and it blocks sends that would fall short.
A real physical address in every email
CAN-SPAM requires a valid physical postal address in every commercial message. Bolsivo uses your business’s address (from Settings) and, if that is missing, a platform fallback — and it blocks the send when neither is configured, rather than mailing without one.
Working one-click unsubscribe
Every commercial email includes a clear, working unsubscribe link plus one-click List-Unsubscribe / List-Unsubscribe-Post headers (RFC 8058). Opt-outs are honored promptly: the address goes on a suppression list and is excluded from future sends across every channel.
Honest subjects, real sender, human approval
- No deceptive subject lines or forged “from” information.
- Messages are identifiable as outreach from your business.
- Human approval by default — Bolsivo drafts, but nothing is sent without your review.
- Only public business data and ethical sources — never purchased lists.
Bolsivo designs its email tooling to operate in accordance with CAN-SPAM, but each business is responsible for its own compliance in how it uses the product. This page is informational and not legal advice. See also our Privacy Policy. Questions: legal@bolsivo.com.
